They found authority in their own heart instead of outside. \nEven though times have changed a lot since the beginning of Christianity\, we haven’t changed that much. Our inner barriers are still the same\, and we still overcome these barriers in the same ways. Also\, that promised state of omnipresence they spoke about 2000 years ago is the same as it ever will be. \nFor the Esoteric Christians\, there was always a dimension of harmony\, bliss\, and light\, next to a world that can be a sinister and chaotic dimension of life. This is also something many of us can relate to through our own inner life.
