About our meeting:
There has always existed a powerful undercurrent in Christianity, a Christianity in which people explored God within themselves and sought to overcome inner barriers. They found authority in their own heart instead of outside.
Even though times have changed a lot since the beginning of Christianity, we haven’t changed that much. Our inner barriers are still the same, and we still overcome these barriers in the same ways. Also, that promised state of omnipresence they spoke about 2000 years ago is the same as it ever will be.
For the Esoteric Christians, there was always a dimension of harmony, bliss, and light, next to a world that can be a sinister and chaotic dimension of life. This is also something many of us can relate to through our own inner life. For them, the path was the same as ours: a transformation from a confused and chaotic state to a state of light and bliss in which we see the divine presence within everything.
During our first part, we will touch on the following:
- What was Christianity like before and beside the organized church?
- The living esoteric current until now
- Familiar Christian symbols and their esoteric meaning
- Our body as a temple of light
Our meeting will start with an half an hour introduction after which we can share thoughts.
